After rumors surfaced that The Wolf Among Us 2 had been canceled, Telltale Games has spoken out.A spokesperson for the studio confirmed that the game is still in development despite the unfounded rumors.

“As a rule, we don’t comment on rumors and unsubstantiated topics. However, I can confirm that The Wolf Among Us 2 is in development and we look forward to sharing more with our community when the time is right.”
The sequel was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2017 and caused a stir among players of the first season. However, Telltale’s shutdown in 2018 led to the project being shelved. With the studio’s rebirth in 2019, the project was revived and they decided to finally complete The Wolf Among Us 2.
Some important information about the long-awaited sequel has also emerged. After being delayed for more than a year and a half, it is targeting next year as the release date. Telltale has also decided to switch to the Unreal Engine 5 engine.
The story will take place six months after the first production. Accordingly, Bigby will take on the role of the new sheriff, while Snow White will take on the role of deputy mayor. New York will also play a bigger role.Telltale said The Wolf Among Us 2 will delve deeper into the human experience beneath the fantasy.
